Globally more than one billion people live in semi-arid lands. Pakistan is the world’s fourth-largest producer of cotton, much of which is grown in the country’s semi-arid regions. This documentary focuses on part of the work being carried out in PRISE research project 3. The film looks at the impact of climate change on Pakistan’s cotton sector as PRISE works collaboratively with economic decision makers, policymakers and civil society to identify opportunities for economic transformation and diversification in the cotton sector supply chain in order to build economic resilience to climate change.
