After completing his MSc and M.Phil in physics from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, Fahad started his professional career in the field of Climate Change Simulation from Global Change Impact Studies Center (GCISC) in 2004. He moved to the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology (MPIM), Germany in 2007 for his PhD and also received his Post-Doctorate from MPIM. He then joined the Climate Service Center (CSC) where he worked as Science Officer until December, 2013. Currently, he is associated as a Senior Science Officer to the Center of Excellence in Climate Change Research (CECCR), in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
During the course of his PhD studies and post-doctoral work so far, he has published 11 research articles in peer reviewed international scientific journals with a total impact factor of 30. His work has been presented in many international conferences and workshops. Three of his publications have been referred to in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC’s) 5th assessment report (AR5).
