Nailya is Programme Manager of the Climate Change and Sustainable Energy Programme at the Central Asian Regional Environment Centre (CAREC). She has a decade of experience in implementing projects on environment management and policy, climate change, and sustainable energy, both at the regional and national level.
In Tajikistan, she successfully led a United Nations Development Programme project on capacity assessment and awareness raising under the Pilot Programme for Climate Resilience (PPCR), one of the global initiatives on climate change adaptation.
In PRISE, she is coordinating research activities in Tajikistan, and was a lead author of the Tajikistan Country Situation Assessment with a particular contribution to climate risks, implications for adaptation and resilience, and migration. At the project consortium level, she is contributing to PRISE research project 2: Migration, remittances, adaptation and resilience in arid and semi-arid regions of Senegal and Tajikistan.
